Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Olatunji Fagbore ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit olatunjifagbore.com (the "Site"), including when you use a lead-capture or sponsorship form, or navigate to a linked resource such as VentureScale or Ustackschool. It's written to meet the requirements of the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and the US California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

1. Who we are

I am Olatunji Fagbore, operating this Site as an individual (sole trader), based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK/EU data protection law, I am the data controller for personal data collected through this Site. You can reach me at hello@olatunjifagbore.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

When you submit a form on this Site (lead-capture forms, the strategy-call survey, or the book-sponsorship form), I may collect:

• Your name (first/last or full name)
• Your email address
• Your phone number and country dial code, where you choose to provide it
• Your country, where you choose to provide it
• The service, challenge or interest you select from a dropdown
• Any free-text details you choose to write, e.g. about your situation, timeline or budget

Only your first name and email address are required on most forms, everything else is optional.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site, and only if you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner, I use Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar to understand how visitors use the Site: pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and anonymised session recordings and heatmaps of on-page behaviour. Form fields are always masked in these recordings, meaning the text you type is never captured by Clarity or Hotjar, even if you've accepted analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.

3. How we use it

I do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Cookies

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) for essential functionality and, only with your consent, analytics. Full details, including exact cookie names, purposes and durations, are in the Cookie Policy.

5. Who we share it with

I don't sell your personal data. I share it only with the service providers ("processors") that help run this Site:

• Formspree, to receive and deliver form submissions to my inbox
• Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar, for analytics, only if you accept cookies
• Netlify, which hosts the Site and its serverless functions
• GitHub, which stores the Site's content and powers the admin content-management login
• Calendly, if you choose to book a call through a Calendly link surfaced after a qualifying enquiry

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement with me.

6. International transfers

Some of the providers above (including Formspree, Microsoft, Hotjar, Netlify and GitHub) are based in or transfer data to the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA, it's protected either by an adequacy decision, or by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, as required by UK/EU data protection law.

7. How long we keep it

I keep form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to become a client, student or mentee, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. You can ask me to delete your data at any time, see your rights below. Analytics data collected by Clarity/Hotjar is retained according to each provider's own retention settings, typically no longer than 13 months.

8. Your rights (UK/EU GDPR)

If you're in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data I hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Ask me to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to how I process your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information I collect, use and disclose about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, I do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

10. Children's privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this Site, contact me and I'll delete it.

11. Security

I use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled hosting, to protect the personal data submitted through this Site. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but I take data protection seriously.

12. Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
